Secret Santa Gift Exchange and Ice Cream Party

On Tuesday, we will hold our annual Christmas Party. The girls have exchanged names for a secret Santa gift exchange. The only catch to this gift exchange is that the gift has to be hand made by the girls and nothing can be purchased. If your daughter does not remember who they selected or she was not at our last meeting, please contact me. I have it all written down. In order to keep hurt feelings at bay, please remind your daughter to bring her gift to the meeting. Anyone that does not bring a gift, will not receive a gift regardless of names drawn.

Lastly, one of our favorite traditions is ice cream sundaes at our Christmas party. I will supply the vanilla ice cream, but I am asking the families to supply the toppings/bowls/spoons. Please let me know ASAP what you would be willing to send to our meeting on Tuesday.

Trick or Treat Candy Donation

Daisy Troop #2229 is going to earn a “Halloween Trick or Treat Badge”.

We are hoping that all the girls in the troop go out Trick or Treating and have fun and be safe this Halloween. When all the Halloween Trick or Treat candy has been collected, we are asking that each girl donate a portion of that candy. The troop has decided that a food pantry should receive our donated candy.

We are asking that the girls separate their candy on Monday, November 1, and put what the portion they would like to donate in a tied plastic bag or large zip lock with their name on it and bring to school with them to school on Wednesday, November 2nd. Ms. Milli will meet them in the commons area in the morning as they are coming in the door to collect their bags of candy. When all has been collected, I will weigh the candy collected and let the girls know how many pounds of candy we donated.

Only those girls who donate candy will be awarded the Annual Trick or Treat Patch.
